Welcome. This is Work in Progress and is intended to be a gallery documenting the current condition of the disused railway lines throughout East Sussex, and where necessary any that run into surrounding counties. I want to concentrate on the remaining structures and features that may still exist and to give "before and after" photos to show the sometime considerable changes that have happened since the lines' closure.
First up is the Cuckoo Line, Polegate to Heathfield section. I walked this in 2007 as it has now been converted into a cycle / walking track. I hope to cover all the other routes over the next couple of years.
There's a couple of old collections on here which I will delete in due course. |
